Vitamin E, one of the fat-soluble vitamins, has been regarded as the most powerful antioxidant, protecting us from free radicals, ultraviolet rays and pollution; it inhibits the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids, reducing the formation of lipofuscin, improving skin pigmentation and dullness, and also helps maintain the integrity of cell membranes when skin cells fight against free radicals, delaying the aging process and maintaining the skin's youthful elasticity. It also helps to protect vitamin A from oxidation to enhance its effectiveness.
A special microencapsulation technology is used to make a double encapsulate liposomes with phospholipids and polyquaternium-61. It forms a stable emulsion and strengthens the tightness between keratinocytes to prevent transcutaneous water loss, thus achieving excellent water retention capacity. The recommended concentration for cosmetic formulations is 1~2%.
